What is it with the Korean beauty scene that many of us Filipinas are getting more drawn in to? Since last year, the rise of Korean drama in the Philippines have been widely remarkable and it has shown a huge effect on our beauty perspective. And I wouldn't blame you, because who wouldn't want those smooth and almost perfect skin that Korean celebrities have. I myself is guilty of that and I can say that it has paved a way for me to discover new makeup trends and also learn how to take good care of my skin. 

The items from this haul are some of the products that I feel that is worthy to have on your makeup kit. Whether you wanted to look like some of your Korean Unnies or Oppas or just wanted to do a simple Korean makeup look. Here are some of the products that I do recommend and where to get them.

I don't know about you guys but I've always been a fan of cheap concept stores most especially those from Japan namely Daiso and Japan Home. These stores have always been my go to places and I make sure that I drop by whenever I had the chance as a way of de-stressing.

Speaking of concept stores, have you heard about a new store called Mumuso? Yes that's right! Mumuso is a new concept store from Korea that provides quality items ranging from home necessities, bags, gadgets and beauty products at a cheaper price. When I knew about this store, a visit from it was on top of my list. And oh boy was fate all good to me when I chanced upon the newly opened store at Lucky Chinatown Mall in Divisoria. As of now they have two stores in the Philippines including the one in Farmer's Plaza, Cubao.

Believe me, it was unplanned but as I've said, I wouldn't let the day pass without a quick visit to the store. So, I went ahead, grabbed a basket and the last thing I know was that I went home with a bag of goodies (well, mostly beauty products) and I thought I'd share them with you guys.

Aside from being undeniably cute for its color, it also has a pouch where you can slip your fingers in for easy makeup removal. Add to that its texture that helps in removing stubborn makeup residues on your face because sometimes a plain cotton pad doesn't really do the job.

I ran out of makeup removers already and surprisingly Mumuso has a lot of them in store. I regretted not getting the Micellar type since it has been the "in" product nowadays. I've seen a lot of beauty bloggers rave about the wonders of that product in all its glory. Had second thoughts about it since this one's a bit cheaper but I am now regretting it. Has anyone tried their Micellar makeup remover yet?

When I got home, I tried this in an instant beginning my skin care ritual with makeup removers. I must say that it did a great job removing my eye makeup, eyebrow gel + tinted brow mascara and a matte lipstick in a few swipe. I was wearing Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, Japanese Card Captor Sakura Wand Eyeliner, Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil and a Colourpop Ultramatte Lipstick in Trap. I'll give a thumbs up for this one!

This Green Tea Bubble Brush Peeling Foam is the bomb! The smell of Green Tea is very addicting! It also has a functional pump and a face massager attached to the bottle that gives cleansing a bit of an upgrade. Also available in pink but I forgot the name. Sorry! 

This however, doesn't peel off dead skin in an instant. Tried it two times but no luck. Perhaps, I'm doing it wrong. Please educate me! All the instructions are in Korean so I can't fully understand. hehe

Either going for a bold look or a natural look. This dual ended eyeliner is a nice addition to your makeup kit. Creating fine or thicker lines are more easy as ever. Plus, it's waterproof and doesn't easily rub off. If you're feeling extra creative, it works as a Calligraphy Pen as well. (Just kidding!)

Love this set of 2 foot socks which sells for Php 99.00. That's like less than Php 50.00 each! For its quality, I think it's a good buy! Sneaker heads would definitely love this. Also available in gray and white combination.

What greeted me upon entering the store is a rack of mask in packs of 5 or so. Korean Face Mask lovers would surely go crazy in this section. Aside from face masks they also have these interesting gel eye masks available in gold, black and white that each has its own use. Each box consists of 6 pairs. 

Together with the bubble foam I tested these out afterwards and it gave a subtle cooling sensation and it felt really good. A nice product to relax tired eyes after a day at work. 

Mumuso also offers a large spread of makeup products from Cushions, CC Creams, Powders, Lipsticks starting from Php 99.00 above. I went crazy!

The store that day was jam packed and I had a hard time squeezing in to swatch products. All the girls went crazy in the makeup section so I had to wait for someone to turn their back before I can move inside and test some products. Unfortunately, this is the only one my hands were able to get. Available in Light Ivory shade and the only shade available if I'm not mistaken. I plan to use it for baking. Face baking guys! Face baking! :)

Update: Gave this a try this morning and it worked really well. It stayed matte all day, did not crease even if I'm a bit oily. The shade suited my skin really well. Cheapskates rejoice! Acquired new powder for baking for only Php 149.00!!

And so that's it! So far, I'm loving all the stuff that I got from Mumuso Korea. With such cheap price you get nice quality products. Isn't it nice? I hope you liked my mini haul as much as I do. Cheers to more hauls in the future! Just kidding! Every once in a while is enough just make sure the products you get are the ones you really need.

I was indeed the happiest daughter in the world when Marks & Spencer picked my entry as one of the best blog post for the Style your Mom Contest last Saturday. It was such a humbling experience for me knowing that there are a lot of contestants who also exerted their effort to style their moms. I even didn't expect I would win since I think mine's lacking something. But then, I got a special message from M&S's Instagram page. At first, I thought they only reposted all the entries and thanked them but when I read the notification it was a very surprising announcement.

Last Sunday, of course we already took the privilege to claim the GCs for Mother's Day since I know that if we let that day pass we might not get it in the next following week or so. I'm a super busy person ya know, work, business and blogging on my spare time. So let me just show you our lovely experience at Marks & Spencer Mall of Asia.

I also snapped some photos inside with some new interesting items I want.

 I got a thousand from my mom and bought my favorite!haha 

My happy mom at the counter after 2 hours of wandering inside the store. She finally decided what items to purchase.

My mom was very happy and excited to wear her purchases. She got two sandals, same style but different design. Actually, she exchanged one cover up top for the silver sandals since she lately discovered that there's a slit on the sides of the cover up. She thought she could wear it just like a usual dress. haha 

Anyway, me and my mom are shoe addicts that sometimes we prefer to get shoes rather than clothes. Sadly, we do not have same sizes so I can't borrow from her. She also got  a bag which I super like, I think i'm going to get my first dibs on that. And lastly, a bunch of Digestives and Toffee Cookies.

We really had a great time! Thank you so much again Marks & Spencer Philippines for this opportunity. Our Mother's Day has never been this different and exciting so cheers to that!

Here's the maroon-ish lipstick when worn. I like this one, I can wear it out. However, they wouldn't last long. I've tried eating and drinking through straws and cups and they are wiped out easily. I think it's because of the super creamy texture that feels like a lip balm. Although, I like the subtle creamy texture of these if I will compare it to other lipsticks. It's very light and smooth.

The packaging is light as well but these are the kind that breaks easily.

Final thoughts..

I don't think i'm happy with my purchase. It was a good try though. If you would ask me if I would repurchase, my answer is NO. I would still prefer long lasting lipsticks or lipstains (or should I say matte?) over these since i'm really the type that rarely retouches makeup. If I put makeup in the morning it should last at least in the afternoon. Not unless, I really needed a retouch for the sake of selfies or photo shoots. haha

But these are undeniably cheap! I recommend this for people who likes creamy textures for lipsticks. They are really opaque and smooth when applied and it wouldn't dry up lips like the matte ones. 

I'm eyeing on NARS' Cruella Velvet Lip Pencil for a long time now. Maybe I should get one soon.

I also got a bunch of false eyelashes from Tmart.com. It was my first ever purchase over the internet using my BPI eprepaid card which I applied for recently through a promo at Ensogo.com. The card retails for Php 500.00 but I got it for Php 300.00 only. I'm such a quick promo grabber! HAHA 

Honestly, i've been really wanting to purchase something through an International site that offers shipping in the Philippines so I may know how the whole thing works. Also, I  constrain myself from using credit cards since I think it would push me more to buy and buy anything out of the blue so when I got my BPI eprepaid card which is a reloadable card/debit card I felt excited for my first purchase.

I ordered a set of 5 false eyelashes and I payed Php 274.00 plus shipping is free although I needed to wait for like a month for it get here. Thankfully it arrived just in time for my birthday! The lashes looks nice in person and I tried one at the wedding yesterday. I will show you how it looks in a separate blog post. 

I'm looking forward for my next purchase soon at Tmart. They have a lot to offer may it be for beauty, house decorations, electronics etc. Not only that, you can also get rewarded for your purchases so I it's a nice way to earn points for freebies!  You should also try them!

I also bought a few makeup products from Pure Beauty. First I got this beautiful Milk nail polish from Wet n Wild, been looking for this shade for awhile now. Two lipsticks from L.A girl, one is nude and the other one is a dark red/plum color. And lastly, I got my lip some treatment since my lips are so dry and peeling like crazy so I bought this Carmex lip balm in Strawberry flavor. 

All of these for only Php 500 plus i'm feeling lucky again because they have a promo that for every purchase of Php 500 worth of products you'll get a Wet n Wild freebie. I've got to choose from a tinted moisturizer and their liquid foundation. I chose the liquid foundation over the tinted moisturizer since i'm very curious about their it.

Lastly, I received this beautiful present from my boyfriend. He surprised me again for the nth time with a pair of these adorable booties from Debenhams. I think i'm going to abuse this a lot! haha
