Loving the shade! I think if this was not matte I wouldn't like it. One thing is for sure, matte lipsticks make me more comfortable although I can wear semi gloss lippies but it may depend on a particular shade. I also don't like the feeling when my hair stick to my lips. It's just a NO-NO!

Moving on, if you've already seen my recent Maleficent inspired make up, you may have known that I used this lip lacquer as an alternative to MAC's Maleficent True Love's Kiss Lipstick. And I can say, it really did a great a job! It popped out a nice red finish and villain like. I'm super impressed! 

I can't wait to get the other shades soon. Lime Crime is next on my list and I already had a friend get me the Lime Crime Red Velvet in the US and I will soon get my hands on it this coming week. Also eyeing on the new Lime Crime Gothatines line! I like everything! Whew! I'm hyperventilating. (haha) TAKE ALL MY MONEY!! But I don't have money, that's a problem. Just kidding! haha

Here's the maroon-ish lipstick when worn. I like this one, I can wear it out. However, they wouldn't last long. I've tried eating and drinking through straws and cups and they are wiped out easily. I think it's because of the super creamy texture that feels like a lip balm. Although, I like the subtle creamy texture of these if I will compare it to other lipsticks. It's very light and smooth.

The packaging is light as well but these are the kind that breaks easily.

Final thoughts..

I don't think i'm happy with my purchase. It was a good try though. If you would ask me if I would repurchase, my answer is NO. I would still prefer long lasting lipsticks or lipstains (or should I say matte?) over these since i'm really the type that rarely retouches makeup. If I put makeup in the morning it should last at least in the afternoon. Not unless, I really needed a retouch for the sake of selfies or photo shoots. haha

But these are undeniably cheap! I recommend this for people who likes creamy textures for lipsticks. They are really opaque and smooth when applied and it wouldn't dry up lips like the matte ones. 

I'm eyeing on NARS' Cruella Velvet Lip Pencil for a long time now. Maybe I should get one soon.

I got bored this afternoon so I decided to do a blog post about today's FOTD or "face of the day". Should I do this more often? What do you think?

First, I applied my all-time favorite cream foundation from Pinkies Collections. Gosh! It's almost empty, I need to repurchase soon! If you're aiming for a flawless look without the heavy feeling you should try this. You can check my review about it here.

I did not finished it with a powder though since this is already good to go for me. Next, I applied my Maybelline Mineral powder on my cheek bones for contouring. I actually prefer using darker shades of powders like this for contouring since it's matte. Maybe for evening looks i'd go for a combination of shiny and matte so it would look more photo ready. For the nose contouring I used the NARS eyeshadow palette in Madrague. 

For the eyes, I used Tony Moly's gel liner and my Maybelline Mineral Powder again as an eyeshadow alternative.

I finished off the look with the Clinique Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry shade and topped off with a Fuchsia Pink Excel Paris Matte Lipstick. I think the highlight of this look is my fuchsia pink lipstick since it really popped out more. I like it!
